Funny how the Mainstream media covers Uber versus Lyft. Uber gets treated like the bad boy. Lyft is mentioned less often but in a more neutral tone. I find this interesting because both companies are doing the exact same thing: using mobile software and people’s cars to make money. Both are scaring the big Taxi companies with their innovation.
Time will tell if the harsh tone used on Uber is warranted. The leadership has certainly stepped in it a few times. I tend to think we are seeing the growing pains of a new company. Perhaps this is a matter of the Mainstream media cheering on the underdog. Lyft is just as controversial but is also much smaller than Uber. Could it be that simple?
